Mr. Ruçi thanked the members of the Council for their responsibility and contribution to this important structure of cooperation of the Albanian state with the Diaspora.

Some of the main issues on which the members of the Council focused were the withdrawal of more investments from the Diaspora and incentives for them, the right to vote for Albanians living outside the territory of the Republic of Albania, the representation of the Albanian Diaspora in Albanian institutions and the role of Diaspora Coordinating Council as a partner of various initiatives in Albania for the benefit of the country’s development and the prosperity of Albanians in all countries where they live.

During the meeting, the Chairman of the Coordinating Council, Mr. Gjonaj, thanked the Assembly, the Minister of State for the Diaspora and other state institutions of Albania for the will to expand and strengthen cooperation with the Diaspora: “We have undertaken this task with great desire and passion and we will do our best to carried out our duties responsibly and seriously. The Diaspora will become a real partner for the development of Albania “, underlined Mr. Gjonaj.

Afterwards, the discussion between the participants continued with talks on many other current issues of cooperation between the Albanian state and the Diaspora.
