The focus of the inter-institutional working group on Order no. 136 measure 51 of the “Action Plan for the Implementation of the National Strategy on Diaspora” was on finding ways to inform the Albanian community abroad. State Minister of Diaspora highlighted the importance of creating an efficient network that will inform the Albanian Diaspora on policies and activities of the Albanian administration that are related to the issue of Diaspora. Additionally, the network will provide information to Diaspora on various services offered by their homeland.

Part of the meeting was also the Minister of Health and Social Protection, Mrs. Ogerta Manastirliu. In her speech, she focused on the success stories of various Albanian doctors abroad. She emphasized the enormous contribution that these doctors have in the host countries and in supporting other young doctors in the country of origin. Mrs. Manastirliu added: “Their experience in European and other countries is very important for Albania and we can benefit from their experience through organizing various trainings, seminars and conferences.”

The inter-institutional working group aims to evaluate the quality of information related to Diaspora that will be promoted on the websites of each state institution; each website should have a dedicated section for diaspora.
