She currently serves as the Chief /Sector of Diaspora in Diaspora Directory.

Ms.Iris Xhanaj, holds Laurea Magistrale from the University “La Sapienza”, Rome, Italy.  She has held thesis on clandestine immigration.

Prior to serving in the National Agency of the Diaspora, she worked for about eight years in various public institutions such as: National Agency of Natural Resources (2012-2013), in the Authority of Electronic and Postal Communications (2013-2018), in the School of Magistrates (2018-January 2021).

She was involved in activities organized by private entities, state institutions and NGOs with a focus on integration and interaction with Albanian intellectuals graduated in Italy and on the promotion and development of foreign direct investment in Albania.

Involved also, in activities held at national and international level, in issues related to Intellectual Property.
