Yesterday, members of the Diaspora Coordinating Council held their second official online meeting. The meeting was attended by the State Minister for Diaspora, Mr. Pandeli Majko, and the Executive Director of the National Diaspora Agency, Mrs. Sonila Hysi.
Since the establishment of the Council, its members have cooperated and are constantly committed to issues related to the representation of the interests of Albanians who have left their homeland and the strengthening of their relations with Albania.
According to the agenda of the meeting, the discussion was opened by the Chairman of the Council, Mr. Mark Gjonaj and continued with a greeting speech from Minister Majko, who stressed the importance of this representative structure, with members from Canada to Australia.
Among the main topics of discussion were the reporting of working groups covering media and communication issues, education and culture, the economy and the Nationwide Diaspora Assembly 2021, and the progress of work on guaranteeing the Right to Vote for the Diaspora.
At the end of the discussion, the members decided that the third official meeting of the Council will be held on August 30, 2020.
