During the meeting, the State Minister of Diaspora, Mr. Pandeli Majko gave a summary of the work that they have done during 2018, within the framework of the National Strategy on Diaspora, with a special focus on the second Diaspora Summit.

In addition, Minister Majko informed the representatives of respective ministries that they have started the process of assigning national coordinators for implementing some of the measures of the “National Strategy on Diaspora 2018-2024”. The national coordinators will be responsible for some of the issues included in the “National Strategy on Diaspora”, such as negotiating agreements with various European states regarding the pensions of the Albanian migrants, scholarships for studying abroad and in Albania, as well as having a schedule of the Diaspora activities that will take place in 2019.

Part of the discussion was also the registration of the Albanian Diaspora and providing them with the necessary documents.
