Mrs. Sonila Hysi Ruka was born on August 1985. She holds a BA in Finance from State University of New York”/ Empire State College, USA (2004-2009). In 2013, she completed her Master’s degree in Business Administration from Institut Universitaire Kurt Bösch in Switzerland. Currently, she is a Ph.D. candidate at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”.

In 2009, she started her professional career in the private sector, more specifically in the finance department, where she also served as an Executive Director for a period of 5 years.

She joined the Public Administration through the Ministry of Finance and Economy in February 2014, as the Director of National Authorizing Officer, for the Financial Management of EU assistance, of National Development Projects under EU programs.  (IPA and IPARD programs).  Currently, she holds the position of Executive Director at the National Diaspora Agency (AKD).
