The State Minister of Diaspora, Mr Pandeli Majko attended the 30th anniversary of the Albanian cultural association “Migjeni” in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

“Migjeni” is the first Albanian association in the former Yugoslavia, which has done a tremendous work for the recognition of the rights of Albanians.

At the anniversary, the State Minister of Diaspora gave to the association the “Naim Frashëri” title for the “Activities and Commitment to the Protection of the Albanian National Issues”, provided by the President of the Republic of Albania. In addition, the “Naim Frashëri” title (after death) was given to the former chairman of this association, Gjon Simonit.

Meanwhile, the “Migjeni” association gave an award to minister Majko for expressing their gratitude for the work done so far for the Albanian communities around the world.

Part of the activities organized at this anniversary was the scientific symposium, “How we crossed the threshold of hope” (Si e kapërcyem pragun e shpresës).
