Given the situation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Coordinating Council of Albanian Diaspora:

Calls upon the political parties both in Albanian and Kosovo to exercise proper level of maturity in managing this unprecedented situation.

We call upon the government of Kosova to exert all its efforts to manage this challenging situation and overlook political differences. Any kind of instability of this government under these circumstances means volatility of the Kosova state, which can bring unfortunate consequences. The national interest calls for bipartisanship and maturity on the part of the political leaders for the good of the nation.

Requests both, the government of Albania and that of Kosova to prepare sound and binding fiscal packages to support the businesses and the public. Furthermore, it demands both governments to establish a better communication and cooperation with the businesses, so as to ensure their normal operations in serving their clients, provided that such operations do not cause any harm to their workers and clients.

Invites the government of Kosova and Albania to provide more room in the media outlets for medical professionals, so as they are given a better chance to provide professional massages on the ways how to best face this situation. In the developed countries, where we live, experts in the field of medicine and society, together with the local authorities are playing a vital role in the interaction with the citizens, something which seems to be lacking in our motherland.

Our gratitude to all medical professionals in our countries and everywhere in the world for their exemplary contribution in managing this situation. We encourage the cooperation and sharing of professional advice with our diaspora communities by all Albanian medical professionals everywhere, so as we can best cope with this situation.

Calls upon all Albanians the world over to obey the rules established by the governments of the countries where they reside as this is the way to manage the situation.

Invites all fellow Albanians who might have questions about this situation to contact the institutions in charge in the countries where they reside, the Albanian embassies and consulates and the Coordinating Council of Diaspora.
