The Executive Director of the National Diaspora Agency welcomed Mr. Fatmir Behluli, President of the Federation of Albanian Associations in Italy, an organization that for years has played an important role in preserving and promoting the Albanian language, culture, traditions, traditional clothing, and national customs within the diaspora.
During the meeting, the Federation’s commitment to strengthening ties between Albanian and Arbëresh communities in Italy was highly appreciated, as was its extensive cooperation with Arbëresh associations operating from the central to the southern regions of the country. This cooperation represents a valuable example of preserving Albanian national identity and cultural heritage across generations.
Ms. Xhafa thanked Mr. Behluli for his dedication and tireless work in keeping the Albanian language and national values alive within Albanian and Arbëresh communities, emphasizing that the diaspora remains a strong bridge connecting Albanians around the world.
The discussion also focused on the importance of bringing younger generations closer to Albanian culture and identity through cultural, artistic, and educational activities, as well as on the need to expand institutional cooperation in projects that promote Albanian history, traditions, and national figures in Italy and beyond.
