Today, together with the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and the partners involved in this process, we concluded an extensive consultation and cooperation process, with the participation of public institutions, international partners, civil society, academia, municipalities, and representatives of the diaspora.
Under the leadership of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and with the coordinating role of the National Diaspora Agency, the new Strategy establishes a more structured and sustainable approach towards the diaspora, recognizing its contribution to Albania’s development and to the country’s European integration process.
We would like to thank all institutions, organizations, experts, partners, and representatives of the diaspora who contributed to this process, as well as the International Organization for Migration (IOM) for its support and expertise.
Following its finalization, the process will continue with the steps towards the approval of the National Strategy for Diaspora 2026–2030 by the Council of Ministers.
