Albanian students at Harvard promote national culture
With our best wishes for a successful month, we are pleased to share with you these very interesting highlights from a special cultural event held at the prestigious premises of Harvard University on April 25, organized by the Fondacioni Tradita Popullore, with the support of the National Agency of Diaspora, in collaboration with the Harvard Albanian Students Association.
This is part of a valuable chain of experiences that we began last year with the Albanian Students Association at Westminster University, UK. It continues this year with the outstanding students of Harvard University, and we will carry it forward wherever Albanian excellence shines around the world, with a strong commitment to strengthening the connections between Albania and its sons and daughters in every corner of the globe.
This event brought into focus the extraordinary richness of Albanian cultural heritage, promoting our national values to students, academics, and the Albanian community in the United States of America. The artistic and cultural program included flute performances, presentations on traditional Albanian costumes, folk dances from various Albanian regions, as well as talks on the importance of our spiritual and material heritage.
At this event, remarks were also delivered by the Executive Director of the National Agency of Diaspora, Ms. Ermonela Xhafa, who emphasized the importance of preserving national identity, strengthening ties with the Albanian diaspora, and the role of young people in the country’s future.
A few days earlier, the 4th Diaspora Summit was held in Tirana, clearly highlighting that Albania’s development cannot be envisioned without the energy, knowledge, investment, and dedication of Albanians living abroad. Discussions and panels particularly emphasized the importance of involving youth and students as bridges connecting Albania with the world, and as key contributors to building a more sustainable and innovative future.
Today, our call goes not only to Albanian students at Harvard, but to all our young people around the world: this is your moment to engage and actively contribute with institutions in your homeland.
On the official website and social media channels of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEFA), you will find concrete opportunities for professionals who aim to become part of strengthening the foreign service and Albania’s European integration journey.
These are not just opportunities — they are real steps toward impact, diplomacy, and building the European future of our country.
Engage. Contribute. Make an impact.
Albania needs your energy and vision!
