The Prime Minister of the Republic of Albania has approved the establishment of an inter-institutional working group, which aims to draft a legal package to guarantee the right to vote of Albanians in the Diaspora.

The inter-institutional group will be headed by the Minister of State for the Diaspora and is composed of representatives from the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Finance and Economy, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy and the Institute of Statistics.

In cooperation with the Electoral Reform Commission in the Albanian Parliament, the inter-institutional group has the task of coordinating the work of the Electoral Reform Commission, conducting consultations and receiving support from civil society representatives, foreign experts and representatives of international organizations.
