INSTAT with the support of the State Minister for Diaspora published for the first time a study on Diaspora, “Data on the Albanian Diaspora”.
The study was based on indirect assessments conducted during 2018. According to the study, there are about 1.6 million Albanians as part of the new Diaspora; in other words, 36 percent of Albanian citizens are living abroad.
This study was conducted in the framework of the National Diaspora Strategy. The purpose of this publication is to get detailed information on the Albanian Diaspora such as quantity and demographic and social characteristics.
