There is already a list of candidates for the Coordination Council of Diaspora, which was proposed by the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs.
Given the circumstances of the Second Diaspora Summit and after discussing it at the State Committee meeting, the State Minister of Diaspora proposed to discuss and evaluate this list during the Diaspora Summit.

Candidates were selected according to law and proposed by the Albanian embassies abroad; the selection process of candidates will take place at a second phase after being evaluated by participants of the Diaspora Summit.

For the first time, the Coordination Council of Diaspora indicate the institutionalization of diaspora at the highest state level.
