Deputy Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ms. Vilma Premti, together with the Executive Director of the National Agency for Diaspora, Ms. Ermonela Xhafa, and the Director of the Directorate for Economic Diplomacy, Culture and Diaspora at the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ms. Silvana Leskaj, today welcomed representatives of the Associations of Albanian Professionals in Italy to a consultative meeting held as part of the drafting process of the National Strategy on Diaspora 2026–2030 and the Action Plan 2026–2028.

During the meeting, discussions focused on the needs, challenges, and priorities of the Albanian diaspora community, as well as on ways to strengthen the engagement of Albanian professionals living abroad in Albania’s economic, social, and cultural development.

The participants shared their experiences and put forward concrete proposals, making a valuable contribution to enriching the strategic documents. The discussion once again confirmed the importance of open and continuous consultation with the Albanian diaspora as a key partner in the country’s development processes.

The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and the National Agency for Diaspora remain committed to ensuring an inclusive consultation process, while recognizing and valuing the contributions and expertise of Albanians living and working around the world.
