The Council of Ministers has approved the Decision no. 456, dated 10.6.2020 “On some changes and additions to Decision no. 910 dated 21.12.2016 of the Council of Ministers “On issues, object of consultation and structure, procedure, form, manner of organization and functioning of the Consultative Council of central government with local self-government” amended “.

According to the decision, within the functions of municipalities, the field for diaspora and migration will be added, as well as in point 7 of Chapter III, “Establishment, composition and management of the Consultative Council”, the subdivisions are added, with the following content: “Representative of the Minister responsible for relations with the diaspora; The representative of the minister responsible for the protection of the enterprise “.

The creation of administrative structures with a focus on the field of migration aims to maintain continuous communication and strengthen relations with members of the Albanian Diaspora, who have their birthplace or origin from the territory they cover.
