As part of the “Diaspora Speaks” Conference, currently taking place in Cologne, the distribution of Albanian language books was also carried out for teachers who teach in the federal state of North Rhine–Westphalia (NRW), one of the most active centers of Albanian language education in the diaspora.

This important process was organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Germany, with the participation of the National Diaspora Agency.

The event was attended by the Ambassador of Albania to Germany, Ms. Adia Sakiqi, and the Executive Director of the National Diaspora Agency, Ms. Ermonela Xhafa, who emphasized the importance of this process for preserving the Albanian language and identity among the younger generations of the diaspora.

During meetings with Albanian language teachers in NRW, discussions were held on strengthening cooperation, improving teaching materials, and the need for specialized training for teachers in the diaspora.

The Embassy of Albania in Germany is carrying out valuable work in strengthening ties with the diaspora and in promoting the teaching of the Albanian language to younger generations.

The National Diaspora Agency appreciates the role and cooperation of our diplomatic representations with the Diaspora Publishing Center, as well as with teachers’ associations in the diaspora, in the development of this process and remains committed to supporting every initiative that helps preserve the Albanian language, tradition, and culture in the diaspora.
