The National Diaspora Agency (NDA) welcomed a group of young people from the Bashkimi Cultural Association, who stayed in Albania for an intensive training program with the choreographers of the National Folk Song and Dance Ensemble.
As part of its mission to strengthen ties with the diaspora and promote Albanian cultural heritage, and in implementation of the Agency’s activity plan for 2025, this activity represents a concrete example of close cooperation between the National Diaspora Agency and Albanian cultural associations abroad.
The Executive Director of the Agency, Ms. Ermonela Xhafa, met with the young dancers to share with them the message about the importance of preserving and passing on Albanian cultural heritage to the younger generations in the diaspora.
This program is part of the project “Training of Dancers from the Diaspora,” which aims to preserve, promote, and revive Albanian traditions within our communities abroad in the diaspora.
The dancers experienced firsthand the beauty of traditional dances, became familiar with Albanian folk costumes, and personally engaged with examples and objects connected to their national roots.
