The National Diaspora Agency (AKD) is playing a key coordinating role in the evaluation of the 2021–2025 National Diaspora Strategy, which concludes this December, in collaboration with GIZ, as well as in drafting the new 2026–2030 Strategy in cooperation with IOM.

The full evaluation process and the start of work on the new Strategy are expected to be completed by December 2025. The final document of the new Strategy is expected to undergo public consultation and be approved by the Council of Ministers by early 2026.
