The National Diaspora Agency (NDA), in collaboration with the Albanian Diaspora Business Chamber and STARTUP Albania, and under the auspices of the Ministry of Economy and Innovation, organized today the discussion panel: “Albanian Diaspora – Partnership in Internationalization.”

This event was held within the framework of Global Entrepreneurship Week and aimed to strengthen the role of the Albanian diaspora as a strategic partner in the economic, professional, and institutional internationalization processes of Albania.

The discussions focused on how the expertise, professional networks, and international experience of the diaspora can be transformed into sustainable partnerships for Albanian businesses, public institutions, and community initiatives.
Central topics also included promoting innovation, knowledge transfer, and the “Made by Albanians” brand as a unified approach to strengthen Albanian economic and cultural identity in global markets.

During the sessions, ideas emerged for joint projects between institutions and diaspora businesses, as well as recommendations for expanding economic cooperation and supporting Albanian enterprises abroad.

It was also highlighted that a significant number of applications have been submitted and some projects have been successfully funded, supporting diaspora businesses financially and reinforcing their role as a driver of development and innovation.

The event was held as a roundtable, where participants shared experiences and concrete collaboration ideas.

At the beginning of the panel, attendees were welcomed by the Deputy Minister of Economy and Innovation, Ms. Blerta Rama, who shared her personal experience as part of the Albanian diaspora and emphasized the importance of talent, professionalism, and high innovative potential that the diaspora brings to the country’s economic development.

The panel included representatives from state institutions, the Coordinating Council of the Diaspora (KKD), GIZ, and entrepreneurs from Albania and abroad, who shared success stories and concrete cooperation ideas for the country’s economic and professional development.
