The Second Diaspora Summit ended yesterday with the delivery of the “Ambassador of the Nation” award to the most devoted representatives of the Albanian community in the world. These individuals are integrated in the hosting countries, but at the same time they are dedicated to preserving the language, culture and tradition of Albania. Through their continuous and tremendous work, these individuals preserve the Albanian language and culture in the communities where they live, and especially among the second and third
generations of Albanians.

A special appreciation was given to Albanian teachers in Diaspora for helping children to preserve the Albanian language. From now on, only those individuals who are included in the state register of teachers of the Albanian language will have the right to teach Albanian. Meanwhile, students will receive a certificate after completion of the Albanian language class. This initiative, proposed by the State Minister of Diaspora, is the next step towards the unification of the Albanian language teaching in Diaspora.
