During their visit, the State Minister for Diaspora, Mr. Pandeli Majko, and the Executive Director of the National Diaspora Agency, Mr. Dritan Delija, met with Mr. James Farrell from the Investment Development Agency in Ireland. They exchanged opinions on how to strengthen the role and contribution of the diaspora in entrepreneurial activities. Part of the discussion was also one of the Ireland’s initiatives, “The Gathering Ireland”, which aims the mobilization and engagement of the diaspora in activities in the country of origin, such as the Diaspora Summit.

Minister Majko and Mr. Delija also met with Dr. Martin Russell, an international expert of the Diaspora Issues. They discussed about best practices on engaging Diaspora in the country’s development.

During their stay, Mr. Majko and Mr. Delija also visited the Irish Immigration Museum in Dublin, where they learned more about the history of the Irish diaspora migration and their role in the development of Ireland.
